Amazing seafront restaurants

tanitAs you would expect from a popular Mediterranean beach town there are lots of wonderful restaurants to be found along the coast and within the older sections of the town. Freshly caught seafood is often the specialty of the day – it is often cooked on the open fires and make-shift BBQs on the beach.

Our favourite restaurants are:

Bahia de Tanit – offering shaded or open dining on the beach, Tanit offers traditional Paella as well as tasty modern fare. This section of the beach is particularly stunning with palm trees and luxurious four-poster recliners upon which to enjoy your cocktails.

The Safari Lounge - is one of Torre del Mars most popular restaurants. Its renowned for its excellent gambas (prawns) fresh from the sea and superior customer service. With its beachside location and DJing and live music at the weekend its a must visit either for dinner, lunch or an afternoon snack.

Weekly market

Every Thursday the town centre comes alive with street vendors touting their wares. There is an abundance of delicious and colourful fruit and vegatables, as well as meats for BBQs and fresh seafood. As well as food you can find plenty of gifts to take home including leather-ware and Moroccan pottery and crafts.

Tennis Courts

Brush up on your serves and inject a little fitness into your stay. The Torre del Mar tennis courts are open all year round.
